The most common accessory offered for the iPod/iPhone is a docking station. Earlier we have seen various docks that cater to both iPhone and iPod. But now Sharp has unveiled its DKAP7 docking station that caters specifically to the iPod. This dock will initially be offered only in the UK.
The DKAP7 features 2.1-channel portable speaker system. It also comes embedded with a built-in subwoofer that incorporates HDSS technology. The docking station is said to be compatible with all iPods including the fourth generation iPod. The DKAP7 can be powered by a power outlet or via the internal battery.
This Sharp docking station is also capable of charging the iPod. It also comes with an aux-in jack that allows users to connect other compatible MP3 and media players. It measures 198mm x 69.8mm x 77mm in size and weighs approximately 0.6kg.
The Sharp DKAP7 docking station will initially be made available only in the UK and is expected to retail for around £69.99 (approx. Rs. 3,295). There is no official word on a release outside the UK as yet.
